Hi Trish,
In my memory it is funny all the way through, but I must admit I have heard
dramatisations in recent years rather than revisiting the book. However, I
got Three Men on the Bummel from NLB soon after reading Boat and was very
disappointed, now that really was boring! But again, I might enjoy it more
all these years on. Clare
