Having finished this book on the Kindle today, I'd highly recommend it. It was described as Sarah waters meets Patrick O'Brian, but it was way more subtle than that. In the end it's a book about the search or quest for an identity. sorry if that's a bit gnomic, but if I say more it will spoil the plot.
