Thanks. I am now pretty well decided. Will be going out tomorrow looking
specifically for the ipad mini, hopefully with 32gb.

Thanks to everyone for all the help.

Last one first Dave, probably nothing, though the screen and therefore the
icons on the iPad are bigger and wider spaced so might be easier to manage.

Next, wi-fi vs 3G. If you have wi-fi at home and are not planning to
download or stream lots of content while away from a wi-fi connection, then
you will be perfectly fine with the wi-fi only. If you intend to travel and
want to watch or listen to downloadable content while on the road, simply do
it while connected to your local wi-fi network and you'll be able to access
it from you device without a need to connect once downloaded. This means
you wouldn't be able to listen to iPlayer streams which hadn't been
downloaded when you were on a train without wi-fi connection.

finally, you will be able to use any apps which rely on internet connection
such as tap tap see provided you are connected to wi-fi. If you think you
are going to want to use these apps away from wi-fi, which I think is
unlikely, you might want to consider the 3G option. But you can buy a wi-fi
device for the price on the box without needing to also buy a contract for
network provision from you provider.

HOpe that helps, shout if not.
