Ian, you are very lucky - it's usually much harder to get boys to read. What
a pleasure it must be for you.

At 16 I was totally in love with books - then I discovered boys who also
loved reading, and that was a revelation. Unfortunately it was downhill from
there, and my husband refuses to read anything unless it's a matter of life,
death or pensions.

My 12 year old boy reds in any format offered to him, including the back of
cereal boxes. His appetite for books is massive and he'll therefore read
whatever ends up in front of him. My 16 year old daughter, on the other
hand, reads hardly anything at all. she had a Kindle Fire for Christmas and
uses it mainly for Youtube and iPlyer. I think the choices for consuming
content of all kinds, including reading, is astounding now.
