I enjoyed the two Cicero books as I felt they brought the period alive and gave me some understanding of the hierarchy. I read Pomp At the time I visited the archiological site. It certainly helped me to understand the ruins a bit better and brought them to life a bit. They were rather overwhelming. The two Cicero novels were very good and very different. Most people I have spoken to about them were disappointed as they were expecting more action!! I will look forward to this one. It iosn't a ghost story but the tale of a guy employed to write the biography of a thinly disguised prime minister as the predecessor had died. It was a really good read and since then I have read almost all his other books in the RNIB Library and only once been disappointed. I heard him on the radio a week or two ago and the story sounded fascinating. I haven't read any of his books before. Not sure about the Rednap, I'm not a big fan. Thanks again.
