I expect there will now be a huge swell of thatcher books. And I'd never
believe anything Archer said - we lived in Cambridge in the early 70's, and
part of the entertainment was relating stories about him, such as cheating
to win at his son's school sports day.

there was a classic, June at the time of Thatcher's death.  He gave an
account of how, when he was released from prison, Mrs Thatcher took him to
lunch at the Savoy.  Naturally, she didn't stick to her usual discrete
corner table, but made sure they sat right in the middle in full public
view.  Honestly, why would anyone believe anything he says.
