I can upload an audio version of "South Riding" if you like, beautifully
read by Carol Boyd.
But, if you come across a .txt copy, I would be interested.
I am very fond of books by Nevil Shute, but I think "In the Wet" is one
of the least good.
I really like "Jude the Obscure". The first time I read it I got to the
part where the children die and was really upset. It did not help that
it was about two o'clock in the morning and I was in the house on my own.
It was very powerful.
