I am constantly looking at other templates to see what others are doing so we
can improve the Australian template to meet our needs.
I too am interested in more information on the
[mfcs] series of codes and what they do. I can't find any information on these
in the help files other than the short reference in the DBT Codes Quick
Reference.

Hi George,
Just to be clear, I’m working directly in DBT on this. I’m making myself become
more fluent in DBT itself, as I will be teaching the software to someone in the
near future. I normally work in Word using the Word BANA template, but that’s a
different scenario.
Speaking of the differences between preparing a file in Word versus directly in
DBT. I haven’t fleshed this out yet, but I think there might be discrepancies
from how my imported Word docs behave versus how the styles apply when working
directly in DBT. For example, when I use the Contents styles in Word to prepare
a table of contents, then import it, I see more codes than are present when I
apply those same styles from within DBT. When I look at the styles within DBT,
I don’t see all of the codes that are put in when I first create the doc in
Word. Hmm.
Last thing: in working with this, I have come across the [mfcs] and [mfce]
codes. I know they stand for major format change start and end. When I import
my Word docs, I see the tag [mfcs~contents]. I don’t see that when I use the
direct styles in DBT. The [mfcs] and [mfce] codes are not listed in the DBT
Quic Code Reference. I don’t know how to use this code, or what other
parameters could be used with it.
