Robert,

You raise a very good point. Whenever you use OCR software to produce text,
regardless of the software, you should always proofread the output. I do not
know of any OCR software that can scan documents with 100% accuracy.

Hello:

When I get an image of text, I use Kurzweil K1000 to process the file. I
believe OpenBook can also do this. The K1000 software imports the pdf file and
does OCR on the images. The result can be saved as a text or Word document.
Then it can be processed with Duxbury. One word of caution, The OCR isn't
perfect and can insert extra spaces and make other mistakes.

If it is an image of text, is there a way to handle it?

Thanks,

You will need to open the file in Adobe Reader, and provided the text is not an
image of text, save it as Text.

You will then be able to open the .txt file in DBT or Word.

George.
