I dont wish to start a war but find comments like "You
definitely don't build in tools to accommodate the stupidity of
users." to be less than helpful.
I ahve been using Word in some version or another since 95 and
am still, well, not a proficient Word processor. Does that put me
in the same group as the one in the above quote? I hope not
because now I have reason to learn how to use Word more effectively.
We will always have people who do things with less than
perfection. That is the way it is and always will be.

Steve, but what you need to figure out is how to use search and
replace and macros to do fixes to poorly prepared documents, and
work to educate people in word processing skills. You definitely
don't build in tools to accommodate the stupidity of users. All
that does it tell people that it's okay to do things the way
they've always done them... No wonder literacy and grammar and
other skills are going down the tubes...
