You are nearly there. I am not sure if you are sighted or blind, but I am
giving sighted instructions here.
Right mouse click on the file you are wanting to open and choose "open with"
then "choose another app"
Make sure you tick the box "Always use this app to open .brf files"
Choose "more apps" then at the bottom of the list that comes up "look for
another app on this PC"
This brings up a file box in the c:\program files directory
Change to the c:\program files (x86) directory
Then choose \Duxbury then \dbt11.3 directory [or whichever version of DBT you
are using]
Scroll through the files until you find dbtw.exe and press enter.
.brf files should now automatically open in DBT.

Subject: [duxuser] Opening files with DBT 11.3
I am trying to explain to my new computer that when it finds a .brf
file it should call DBT to open it. I cannot find .brf in the list
of file associations. When I try to "find an app to open this file"
as commanded by windows 10, DBT is not listed among the
choices. When I go to "more choices" it isn't there either. I can
open the .brf if I go first to DBT and then use open, but I would
like to just hit enter on a .brf and have it call DBT as it has done
on my previous computers.
Any clue how to make this happen?
