I think the box style would work nicely for this marginal text.  I'd place it 
before the regular text, as Steve suggested and put the box style around it or, 
you might just write, END OF MARGINAL TEXT, at the end, then skip a line before 
starting the regular text.

Liz,

I'm not sure if there are any rules for this situation, but I'd place the 
marginal material above the text.  I'd format it as if it were text, with a 
transcriber's note preceding it stating that the following material was in 
the margin to the left of the text.  I'd probably skip a line between the 
marginal material and the beginning of text.  I'd also place dots 4-6, 4-6 
at the beginning, and end with dots 4-6 to further indicate that the 
marginal material was finished.  Perhaps someone else may have a better way 
to go about this, and can share it with us.
