Grade 0 braille is braille as you enter it with absolutely no translation
Grade 1 is uncontracted braille
If you were to enter "Hansen" in grade 0 braille you'd get hansen h-a-n-s-e-n
If you were to enter "Hansen" in grade 1 braille you'd get ,hansen dot
h-a-n-s-e-n
Hope this helps.
Warren

What is grade 0? Is it the same as grade 1?

What happens if you open the file as print text file and then
  "translate" it
  as Grade 0?
