Okay so you are saying to type dots 3 6 and then the space and it should
find it? My question was will it find it in the middle of a word? I
will try it and let you know what happens.

Ok, here goes. Perform the following keystrokes in the duxbury braille
document.

F6 to open the search and replace menu

In the "search for" field type the s key and the l key at the same
time, then type a spacebar.

Tab to the "replace with field and if you don't want anything to replace
the hyphen and the space, leave that field empty.

Proceed to ok and press enter.

You will be presented with other options and to replace all occurances
of the hyphen space, type alt plus a to replace all.

Let me know how this works out for you.

a hyphen and then a space. By hyphen I mean dot 3 6. This happened in
several words and we want to make sure they are all gone. Hope this
helps.

Kay, exactly what will you be searching for, in the middle of words?

Okay, I hate to sound like a total idiot on this but seeing as how it is
found in the middle of words and we don't know what words they might be,
how would we go about doing that. Yes, I can use the 6 key entry.

Will your computer keyboard accept six-key entry? If so, you can go to
Duxbury's search and replace menu and use sixkey entry to enter the
search and replace strings.

I must have forgotten to mention that this is a DXB file and is not a
word file. I have to use Braille characters.

In Word you can search for hyphen space--and replace it with a double
hyphen if you want. You can either replace all, or have it ask you about
each one. You shouldn't need to use the wild card asterisk. You do have
to make sure that the character is indeed a hyphen. Frequently Word uses
a longer hyphen (I think it's called an m-dash vs. an n-dash--refers to
the width of space it takes)--then it's easiest to just copy the
combination of characters you want to find and paste those into the find
field.

Hello,
I have a slight problem. We need to print a news letter and so
the file was sent to me. Supposedly we have all the same configurations
set but I am finding words with a hyphen and space in the middle where
they might have been at the end of a line when the editor wrote it.
What I need to know is can I do a find to find these hyphens? Is this
the Windows find when you use control f? And if so can I use the
character * as the wild card and just type in * hyphen and space. Since
we are using Braille characters will it accept the print * symbol? Or,
can I just look for hyphen, space, and will it find them even though
there is a word on the beginning.
