The difference in the source strings is the full stop at the end of the one
that comes out correctly, right?

(I just want to be sure that I understand what you're reporting.)

The following anomaly has been pointed out to me

In
LSC - TEES VALLEY AREA
the EA sign is being used incorrectly in AREA making it look like a comma
Whereas in LSC - TEES VALLEY AREA.
the correct sign in used.
