David, Regarding the Korean, I'm disinclined to hold out for an RC2 on that account alone. If we don't divert the 10.6 base release now, then it should be possible to have another (service) release in August. Indeed, we should be able to ship updated software reasonable regularly. You and Bob will have pretty key roles in that proceess; we'll discuss that when you're settled back in here. - Peter -----Original Message----- From: duxhelp-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:duxhelp-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of David Holladay Sent: Thursday, July 06, 2006 8:44 AM To: duxhelp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [duxhelp] Ukrainian and Korean issues In the process of helping to construct the build of RC1, I noticed that the Ukrainian translation table is missing. The only way I could have made sure it was included would have been to delay RC1 for a period of time, or ruining Peter's so very well deserved vacation (or doing both). I chose to let this slide. Since I am about to go on vacation, I recommend an audit of the translation tables in 10.6 RC1 to see if there are any others missing other than Ukrainian. On a separate note, I will report that the Korean localization, which had been stalled for several months, got going again yesterday, long after the deadline for RC1. If it turns out there needs to be an RC2, there is the opportunity to improve the Korean localization. -- David Holladay * * * * This message is via list duxhelp at freelists.org. * To unsubscribe, send a blank message with * unsubscribe * as the subject to <duxhelp-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>.
