Hello all, George said : It is a generally accepted practice by screen readers to associate text adjacent to a text box as being a Label if it has a colon after it. I rather suspect that adding a colon will resolve the issue. ==== I think is a good solution to solve this problem. This evening, I make some others verifications and here andall the time all dialog box work good, but not de shortcut preference. Here, i use jaws 4.51 and de verbosity level in dbt script in frenchis set to beginers. into the dialogs box : Find, Find and replace, go to page, Page numering, all is ok. I don't find yet a dialog box not working good except the Shortcut preference. Thanks for your attention. In this I assume that you include the Edit, Replace dialog. What puzzles me is that none of our dialogs uses any particular technique other than hopefully-logical layout to cause a screen reader to associate a label with an edit field. The layout of the Edit, Replace dialog and the Shortcut Preferences dialog is quite similar. But the labels in the Edit, Replace dialog end with a colon, whereas those in the Shortcut Preferences dialog do not. Perhaps this is a context clue to the screen reader. Does this odd theory sound familiar to you (or to anybody else who has read this far)? - Peter * * * * This message is via list duxhelp at freelists.org. * To unsubscribe, send a blank message with * unsubscribe * as the subject to <duxhelp-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>.
