Ok.
The file even says that deactivation was successful.

Thanks,
J. R.

J.R.

When you removed beta1, you were presumably prompted to "deactivate". I
assume that the deactivation reported success. In this case, just
remove the file; it's good for nothing.

We're supposed to be writing the file only when deactivation fails
because the server cannot be reached, or some such thing. In this case,
the file would be good for convincing us that you've really deactivated.

After doing the uninstall of beta1 and the reinstall of beta3 I now have
a new item on my desktop.
The item is "DBT remove code - don't delete.txt".
Where did it come from? Can I remove it? What is it good for?
