[duxhelp] Re: Embossing - Index Basic D + Removing embossers

George,

OK.

As you know, I've taken a pass through to put "OK" and "Cancel" buttons in
consistent places.

But the "Are you sure" dialogs are more problematic. They tend to be
generated at run-time. The default response (in this case "No") goes on the
left.

Peter,

Seriously red face here --- but I do have a very feeble excuse.

I've not checked all of DBT for consistency, but I am so used to the "OK"
button being on the left, I sometimes forget (even though it's "Yes"), and
mouse click the left button out of habit. It's especially bad when the
order is reversed in more or less adjacent dialogs.

Sorry again,

George.

Image shows remove embosser confirmation dialog superimposed on the main
embosser setup showing both sets of buttons.

George,

You're unable to remove all the embossers with the DBT 10.6 beta?

This isn't a problem for me.

As you'll recall, this was the case for a time during DBT 10.5 beta testing.

Peter,

While you are looking at this, could you also find out why one cannot remove
the last embosser? That is to say, if I have three embossers set up, and
wish to remove them all, I can get rid of any two, but not the third.

George.

George,

Sorry. I was reading too quickly.

I'll look into this with David.

Peter, this applies to 10.5, but we'll check with Beta ASAP.

Index Basic "D" - Firmware 11.3.2

With "Generic Interpoint" setting of 29 or 30 cells and 28 lines per page,
NO binding margin, braille is "back to back"

With "Index Basic D" Version III, 10.25 or newer, the even numbered page is
moved over one cell from the binding edge.

George
