I must confess to being a shade confused with the Update page myself.
It tells you that SR1 is available, etc., etc., but the last line says, "No
updates are available at this time."

(briefly) here, though there's no hula involved.
I'm puzzled about your experience with "Check for Updates".
If you ever get
unexpected behavior from that feature, it is best to report it directly to
me (off-list) during beta or otherwise to support@xxxxxxxxxxx And be sure
to include the URL. This helps us to diagnose such problems.

I tried to download the new release from Help and Check for Updates, twice.
First time I didn't hit the page. Second time it said there were no updates
at this time.
I was able to download and install it from the link in this message.
I am doing a celebratory hula around my office about having the Go To page
function working again.
