Hi Peter, I did click on "activate" and chcked on "understand to de-activate"
box. I am asked for user name which I type Tes Mihretu. I get a message that
says "this software is already activated on other coputers. De-activate the
software on anther machine and try again" Error message. You may have to
de-activate me or something.

Thanks
Tesfaye Mihretu

Tesfaye,

If your options are "Activate" and "Exit", then I suggest you choose
"Activate" and proceed from there. Let me know if activating itself poses
any further problem.

A few beta testers are likely to run into this; once we're shipping, I don't
expect this to come up on machines that have have beta software installed.
This is related to the fact that the SETUP program now makes sure that
activation-related files are never stored in duplicate on one machine. This
change is mentioned in the change log on the beta site, albeit off in a
little corner where it's easy to miss.

Hello Peter, I download Beta 4 now.
The system is activating itself. Everytime I click on DBT 10.5, it says
"Activation is now required" When clicked on 10.5 DBT icon, I get 2 options
which are Activate and Exit at the right corner of bottom screen. I believe
options were only "ok and Exit".

Beta Testers,

Thanks for your patience with this round; beta 4 is now ready for download
at http://partners.duxburysystems.com

The bad news is that we're well beyond my original optimistic projection for
the end of beta testing. The good news is that we've used the extra time to
make many, many improvements. You'll see this in the change log.

If the server is busy when you connect, please just wait an hour and try
again. It's not a terribly powerful machine, and it will only accept 25
connections at a time.

We do appreciate all the feedback we've received from you so far, and will
keep working here. Please send further feedback to
mailto:duxhelp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or (if you're not subscribed to the list) to
me: mailto:peter@xxxxxxxxxx

Best Regards,

Peter
