Jack,

There is no relationship between embosser and printer as it is used for
rendering print documents in hardcopy. This is true even if both your
embosser and printer are set to print-to-file.

The embosser setup, however, defines the braille document layout. This is
used even when printing simulated braille on an ink printer.

In other words, Global Embosser Setup, Global Printer Setup, Document
Printer Setup and Document Embosser Setup are four distinct sets of data.
DBT will refer to 1 set of data (either Document Printer Setup or Document
Embosser Setup) for most output. It will refer to both these sets of data
only when printing simulated braille on an ink printer.

You've reported two problems:
1. You get an extra "Printer information invalid" message when starting DBT.
I don't yet know whether this is a "real bug". Nor do I know whether it is
new to the beta. This is still under investigation.
2. You get a crash when printing documents. Mike has in fact replicated
this. It is a bug. In this case, we would be able to call it a bug without
replication. Crashes generally are due to bugs; there are few exceptions.

Question: Does this constitute a real bug, in the new beta. Perhaps more
subsidiary, What is the relationship between printer and embosser, if they
are both set toprint to file.

Thanks
