I think Damon hit on something cool, and something that I hadn't really been
able to vocalize. This group of Riders has been fighting huge threats, and have
been finding themselves reliant on NPCs to save them. In the battle with Rig,
they were saved by the Lady of Pain (well, except Valeria). In the fight for
the sword last week, they were helped by the guy in armor. Granted, the party
gave it their all, and I think they can be proud of their accomplishments, but
in the end, they needed the help of others to finish things. This past week
they defeated the githyanki on their own, and in fact, helped to save the NPC
instead of the other way around. That's a great feeling.
