The Sigil had regrouped on the boat anchored about 100 yards from the tiny island they had first appeared on. The boat seemed calm and empty, although there were large bubbles, all about the size of a normal human, spaced around it. Unsure of what to do, the group explored the ship, while Tori and Whilce brought ballistas from the hold to arm the deck, and Neiris kept a look-out. Finally, exhausted after a long day and realizing rest was their only option, the party chose watches and went to sleep. The next morning Cullen, Tori, Neiris and Alturo returned to the island to see if there was anything for them there. They found a magical symbol in the cave that represented their group, and also found that something had come ashore in the night and carted off the corpses that had littered the beach the previous day. Somewhat spooked and having explored every avenue on the island, the group returned to the ship. As soon as they returned, they were surprised when the ship lurched out to sea. Apparently the giant kraken they had fought the night before had grabbed the anchor, and was using it to drag their ship farther away from land. They decided to let him, as they had no real way to stop him, and thought he might be taking them somewhere specific. After an hour, they stopped, and were attacked by some sahaugin. As the group fought, they noticed more bubbles arriving, and inside one was a human who seemed to worship the concepts of good. He freed himself from his bubble prison and helped the Sigil repel invaders. At this time the kraken joined the battle, and succeeded in wrecking the boat. As the boat began to sink, the sahaugin began herding the party into the bubbles that were floating in the water. As a party member entered a bubble, a gas enveloped them, knocking them out. We ended as the party disappeared below the waves with their captors.
