I am glad you folks had fun and sorry I missed it. Crista was not feeling well so I spent the nights with the kids and getting caught up on my school work. The end of the semester is Saturady. -----Original Message----- From: Johnathan Detrick [mailto:jdetrick@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tue 12/10/2002 11:12 AM To: Riders II Cc: Subject: [dungeoncrawl] Tuesday morning review Last night started when Whilce decided to open up a taxi service for underground denizens, and began driving like an idiot through the tunnels of the Underdark. Then Kage and Neiris squared off for a one-on-one fight, and Alturo took up snowboarding. Ok, last night was a video game night, and it was lots of fun. A big thank you to Matt for allowing Jim and I to hog his XBox for the evening. The graphics are spectacular and the games were fun. It was a very enjoyable evening. It's odd this would happen now. Jim and I had just discussed last Friday whether or not Mondays had become just an excuse to play D&D, and not a chance to hang with friends. We don't tend to get together often outside of the D&D arena, and Jim felt that perhaps we were getting together just to role-play, and not to see our friends. I said at the time (and I still say) that, while I love the role-playing and would greatly miss it if we decided to quit, Mondays are a time for me to hang with friends. If Mondays eventually became video games every week, or board games, card games, movie nights, or anything else, I would still be there. Last night was especially enjoyable, as Jim is always great to watch playing video games. It brought back memories of being younger and spending entire nights doing that. In any case, I hope to get the chance to do that again soon. However, I'm very much looking forward to next week's D&D game, and I did use the time to raise both of my characters, so the night was not a total loss from a D&D perspective. -- Binary/unsupported file stripped by Ecartis -- -- Type: application/ms-tnef -- File: winmail.dat
