I know what you mean - I don't want to hurt feelings either. We need to understand that a god who is lower than greater or intermediate is not necessarily less important or less prestigious - certainly not less interesting as a result. After all, the Greeks only had one greater god - Zeus. I'd rather have an interesting lesser power Nelik, for example, than an overblown and lofty "creater of the world"-powered Nelik to spare feelings. On my own side, for example, Escrima really captured many things in her career - ruthlessness, selfishness, ambition, even combat effectiveness - but I took her a different direction as a goddess. I figured that Dennis already had a great spot on the pantheon, and Ambrosia seemed to have a neat niche - there was no reason to expect all of my characters to be "stars". Stand to reason?
