We'll I can tell you that after the last gaming day I couldn't wait for the
next one. My wait is now over... , On Saturday March 1st we will embark on
a 21 hour journey into the world of video gaming. This world is like nothing
you've witnessed before. It will contain huge battles with hundreds of
combatants battling in Star Wars Battle Grounds. We will traverse through
the clouds in Crimson Skies. We will venture forth into uncharted territory
in Unreal Tournament 2003. We lay waste to undead and elves alike in the
enchanting world of Warcraft 3. Some will rise to superhero status when
they take part in The Freedom Force. Along the way we will learn the value
of team work in Medal of Honor and what it takes to be best. Nostalgia will
always be present in this world, so never any doubt that Unreal Tournament
will bring a glimmer of satisfaction to both beginner and advanced player
alike.
When we enter this world I must caution you, there is force here which will
consume your soul!!! Once devoured, it will place you into an arena where
you will be given a Mechanized Warrior. You will have no choice but to
challenge a dozen of people to survive in MechAssault! If you're one of the
lucky few you could be placed on a team of elite forces to fight against the
Russians, Terrorists, or worse in Ghost Recon. The force I'm talking about
is Xbox Live, I'm telling you be prepared!!!
Lord of the Rings has captivated us at the theater for two years straight,
now enter both movies as you play as Aragon, Gimli , or Legolas. Let me
tell you it has the look and the feel of the movie nailed to a tee. Plus in
5.1 surround sound it is just incredible!!!
Many Parts of this world have not availed themselves yet, but in later
correspondence I will detail more of the untold treasures you will encounter
at The Winter LAN Party 2003!!!
OK here's the low down...
When March 1st 2003 8:30am to 5:00 am Sunday
Where Damon's House (Directions will be provided)
What you need to bring (Computer "if you don't have one we will provide
one for you"
We will also be ordering food 3 times throughout the day once at 11:30, once
at 5:00, and finally probably at 9:30 or 10:00. Please bring money to
cover each of the meals you will be here for. We are thinking Pizza ,
Chinese, and the Sandwich Man for each of the orders.
Also please bring a dollar to cover any rental fees for some of the console
games.
The systems we will have: Game cube, 3 Xboxes, two will be connected to
Xbox live and all will be connected via a system link. We will of course
have 17 or so PC's. The key here is if you have your own Pc please plan on
bringing it. We will coordinate with you, to ensure they are prepared for
gaming day.
RSVP We need a good head count. Now the list I'm sending out to I'm pretty
sure are coming, but we just want to calculate for everything.
This LAN Party has no agenda!!!! This will be set by all of you. What ever
the group wants to play we will play for however long. The entire day is
open to you all so please come hangout and enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!
