I thought Barlowe might be interesting as well. He certainly has an
interesting look, and could have a nice mythology. However, we have about a
zillion people that could do illusions. I would rather see Barlowe, if used, as
a deity of disguise and misdirection. Kind of like Leira in the Realms. He
would not have power over illusions, but they would be important to his work.
Make sense?
I'm not sure how Damon sees Quasit, but he might have the magic portfolio.
We'll have to see what he thinks. Perhaps Cinilac, if used, could be more of a
militant magic, or destructive magic portfolio. Not just invocation magic, but
any magic that does damage. The more fierce magic god. Or the magic god of
warriors and militant mages.
I gave up all claim on the Valiant Vanguard characters when I ended the
campaign. I find a neutral god of death to be much more interesting than an
evil one, but I want to try and give the deities we create some differences from
the Forgotten Realms. The last thing we want to do is recreate the pantheon.
That's my reluctance to bring someone like D'Alleva over. Would she just be
another Red Knight?
I like the idea of Karvas as two beings. If he is splitting his being into
two entities, it would seem his is splitting out his good and evil selves.
Therefore, we could make the one Karvas an evil god, devoid of any good side he
had as a chaotic neutral character, and make the other Karvas a demipower under
Faceous, or just a powerful agent of him, kind of like Iludris may be for
Amrikol.
