I’ve noticed an interesting thing from both personal observation and the
wonderful pictures of sunrises and sunsets. Back in BC, the majority of
clouds are puffy ones, like the cartoon clouds. Here, at least thus far,
the clouds look as if the have been grabbed at both ends and stretched,
making a thin elongated shape.

Beautiful colors

When we lived in Tucson the best sunsets were enjoyed as we sat out on our
back patio enjoying our evening and watching the sun make its way, setting
behind the distant hills.

My son is a Wellsite Geologist and is working out on a site north f
Athabasca and east of Lesser Slave Lake. This was his sunset last night.

Alberta can be pretty depressing at times with days of dismal winter
weather, but nature still throws in enough spectacular beauty to keep us
loving the place.
