Red Deer, as I now proudly the my friends, has arguably the best town
planning of any Western Canadian City of its size. My former hometown,
Prince George is tawdry in comparison. White Rock is a copy of the high
tower excess of Vancouver.Circumstances have drawn me to several of the new
subdivisions and while the homes are like Pete Seeger’s tricky-tacky
houses, the parks are large and nicely Don. Usable for all ages.the City
makes careful use of its topography. Older areas show the typical fifties
and sixties homes and lack the foresight of the new developments. Downtown
is a pleasing mix of old and new without too many towers to spoil the
view. Somewhat like downtown Saskatoon, I thought. So your birthplace has
done it up proud.

At 74, I have lived my life during the golden age of North America. I am
not so confident that will continue. Water will become a major issue -
there are still those wanting water pipelines to our neighbour. Trump
gutted thousands of regulations reducing the fight against pollution.
Strong man governments are popping up in Europe with more to come.
All told, the world is going to hell in a hand basket.

packed. Less and less masks are worn. Less than 50% of folks have gotten
their first shot. Stock market is reaching new highs and real estate is on
fire. Millions of people planning trips and vacations. Lots of people
moving out of high cost states like New York and California to the Sunshine
State. So unreal with the virus still around and millions unemployed. This
may not end well like the 1920s. By the way my son in law's parents both
