I currently have a surplus of iPads having bought one for Sonia and a
spare for that which turned out to be unneeded.
Spent about an hour with Telus on the phone. Their new promotion that
included the security system at $95 was tempting as I had just signed up.
With all pluses and minuses, $120 for three years seemed good, roughly $80
under full price for the same. I need to add CNN and MSBC ASAP after the
dust settles. I now rarely watch TV but those are the two channels this
news junkie needs. History would be nice. I have a Netflix account for
the odd time I watch movies. Given the availability of so many movies for
free, this seems unnecessary.

enough to remember.
Things are getting settled. I have a large number of moving boxes
available for free with wardrobe boxes too! This afternoon, I shall
hopefully assemble two new items, a bookcase and table - a test of my
limited skills in that department. My mobility scooter seems to have blown
a fuse when the new battery was installed. Sonia used to peruse the weekly
flier delivery; I now have that task which is almost as confusing as
dealing with a Telus this morning. “Hang on, Willow. What did SaveOn want
for canned tomatoes”. Too many options for one who grew up when Safeway’s
was the only game in town and the stores about the same size as a large
7/11 today. Five cereals, no frozen foods (Birdseye had yet to arrive).
One day I may need to use the stove!
I have almost ceased driving. With almost everything accessible by
scooter, it seems unnecessary. Even the covid vaccine was within range.
Which is a good thing as my walking ability has gone downhill, perhaps only
temporarily.
Yes, this is a chatty update. What else would you expect from an old bat!
