Hardy, Sorry for the misunderstanding. My post should have read, "Pray for us - we'll be doing what everyone tells you not to do; namely, two completely inexperienced tandem drivers teaching/driving two completely inexperienced tandem minis." I left out the second "tandem" when I sent the first post. I should also have explained, for those who don't know us, both Barb and I are fairly experienced drivers with singles and Barb has driven pairs. The two minis Barb owns are currently in training as singles. They won't be long-lined tandem until they both understand what is required of them as singles. Sorry, but I don't think that makes either Barb or I a fool. It does make us willing to try new things with our animals. While I agree with most of your post in that all horses deserve training before being asked to perform, I would ask that, in the future, you get the facts before jumping down someone's throat. A few civilised questions on your part would have elicited these facts and would not have left me feeling as though you have attacked me without provocation. You are a world-renowned trainer and competitor but today you made me lose a lot of the respect I have always had for you.
