Hardy,
Thanks for your endorsement of the Zilco GB harness. I am just starting the
process of looking at pairs harness (I have a Barb Lee single harness that I
really like the quality of, but she is no longer making harness)and want
something nice without going to leather (too old and lazy at this point).
You make an excellent point and obviously have the experience to back it up.
I hope to drive a 14.2 pinto pair (father and son), want black with a little
tan edging and the ability to switch between single, pair or tandem (which I
haven't tried yet but want the option of doing).
My greatest objection to some of the synthetic harnesses I've seen is that
they look, well,....synthetic! My Nearside harness is a good, solid looking
harness with some leather accents (crownpiece/bridle, tug lining, etc.)and
thus far continues to hold up well after three years of continual use.
I'm hoping to find something that approximates it, and other than Smucker's
I haven't found one I like as much.
Heidi
