Thanks for the input Jaye

I hadn't thought to long line the pair as a pair but rather take one of the
pair and work her as an individual ... or of course take my consistent
Morgan...

Subject: [drivingpairs] long linig clinic

I took my pair of minis to a long lining clinic with Phillip DuBois. I
have English style reins with the coupling buckles near the horses'
butts. Phillip showed me that with those reins you have to stay
directly behind the horses at all times (harder than it sounds)
therefore you aren't really long lining but ground driving. He was able
to show me a lot of training techniques even with this set up. He said
you need to have Hungarian reins so that you can adjust the coupling
reins quickly in order to long line a pair.
