Are "bird-in-hand" vehicles named after the town Bird-In-Hand, in PA? What
defines a Bird-in-Hand cart or carriage?
Bird-in-Hand vehicels are made by Carriage Machine Shop, whihc is owned by
Christain Stolfus which is located in Bird-in-Hand. He started 35 years ago and
was one of the first to use metal frames and more of a mass production concept
to keep costs down.

They sure last and remain attractive, I have used a wagoinette style put to
my four for many years.
