So get started be willing to do lots of controlled environment work on the
ground with very quite disciplined fun drives ( Fun = Horse likes the drive
not people) ......................... Al
I love this concept, A Fun Drive is for the horse not the person...
I drove this into my son's head when he was a youngster and would walk our
Cocker Spaniel...
He would want to rush to get the chore done
I would tell him over and over, to ask himself if this walk was for him or
was it for the dog's enjoyment...
He tells me he often applies the question to when he is doing things with
his own young son... "Yeah its faster to do it myself but I remind myself
this activity is for him, not me."
Lessons go on and on and on...
