Hello Listers! Especially with draft horses that work. Needed: leather working team (pair) harnesses for a pair of tall Belgians, and a pair of American Creams (about Suffolk Punch sized). These are for the horses at The Farm School, in North Orange, MA, a 501-(c)-(3) nonprofit, a working farm where everything is done with as few modern conveniences as possible. These horses haul logs and plow fields. Over 1,700 urban school children come each year for a three day two night program to learn and take part in all the farm work and activities. There is also a six month apprentice program for adults. Their current harness is pretty ratty; one is held together with nylon cord (not a good thing!!). If you have, or know anyone who has, good, used, safe harness hanging around their stables/barns, the Farm School will give an excellent tax deduction for your donating harness to the school. Their website is http://www.farmschool.org . Check out the Belgian, Mack, who still works full days at age 28! The horseman is Roy Nilson (he's the one to talk to), roy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx, and please copy to me just in case, takacde@xxxxxxxxxx They could also use a good four horse stock trailer--anyone? Thank you, Althea Bramhall, pony-grammy, just helping out. --------------------------------- Be a chatter box. Enjoy free PC-to-PC calls with Yahoo! Messenger with Voice.
