Sigma sport has several new (this summer) wireless models that are new on
the market--the one I'm currently investigating is the BC 1106 DTS with a
power magnet (allows you to have up to 20 mm between the magnet and the
sensor)
http://www.sigmasport.com/en/produkte/bikecomputer/topline_wireless/bc1106dt
s/ here's the sensor and then the power magnet is listed under the
accessories.

If you order a marathon carriage with one on it they used the wired models
but them they can put them inside the tubing or encase the wires for less
risk of damage. But after market that doesn't seem to be the way to go.

The computer itself just slips out of the holder for when you transport the
carriage or to make it legal at a competition. The trickiest part is
mounting the sensor bracket on the frame. Let me know if you come up with a
good method if you don't weld it.

Vetta and some others also make new wireless models but have no clue how
they perform. Prices vary on the same items greatly so -- shop till you
drop. :-)
