Good for you! Now you're hooked. Those little ponies can get themselves tied in knots so fast, so you must have done a great job! Way to go! Greetings all, I have been on this list for a couple of years and finally have something multiple to report. I took my Shetland tandem to an HDT yesterday and had a wonderful time with them. Scooby (Hawkeye Hot Pursuit) is my leader and Concho (Deer Haven Cloudy) my wheeler. It was the 3rd time this tandem was put together. The first being October 14th in a lesson with Sterling Grayburn. Sterling was so calm and encouraging. He actually had me believing I could do it! The most harrowing part of the event was presentation/safety check, as I did not have time to warm up the ponies and they were clueless about what I wanted them to do there. Once we got rolling things sorted themselves out. Debra Smith graciously agreed to be my groom-a-gator. Her expert advice on the hazards probably saved more than one young tree and make for a smooth and enjoyable drive through marathon. More amazing was the fact that she managed to remain silent during both dressage and cones AND never once made a grab for the reins in abject panic <VBG>. We finished a respectable 2nd place training pony, but what was most important was that we had a great time. Jane Moody Neophyte Tandemaniac!
