I checked with my husband on the myth status. He said
it was part of his 5th grade science experiments!!
Hot had the first skim of ice out on the window sill.
I guess you could try yourself, using equal size
containers and amounts of hot, cool and cold water.
Place them outside. Keep checking to see who cools
and freezes first. Not a lot of other fun outside
with such bitter cold outside!! Tell us how it goes,
so we can slay the myth.
Still no snow even though predicted.
