Like so many others on this list, I use a Zilco Pairs harness. Its
only a couple of years old but looks almost new on the rare
occasion that I give it a bath.
When I wanted to add full collars, I found that Zilco does not make
hames and short tugs. Celine, at Carriage Driving Essentials, got
me Smuckers synthetic short tugs with stainless hames and leather
collars. It all matches with the Zilco harness very well. The Zilco
traces buckle right into the Smuckers tugs.
The only problem I've had with Zilco was a breast collar on a
single harness that started to lose some stitching after 3 or 4
years of hard work. It was a total loss and had to be replaced.
