Don't know if I am violating the conventions or not, but this was too good not to pass along. I have seen the original Belflinger mares and their first foals, and they are gorgeous. I also know that they have been well cared for and should require a minimum of training to start, as they have already been gentled and are used to being handled. If you have an interest in nice moving critters with a lot of bone and substance, get in touch with Nancy Rojo. FWIW Jay E. In fact, they were bred specifically for carriage driving. What are Belnickers you ask? Well, my best friend Tori Thompson, who left our world over a month ago, bred her matched Belgium/Haflinger cross sisters to the Hackney Horse stallion, Franz who stands at Fresno State University. What she got was a colt (now gelded) and filly pair perfectly matched that move very big and fancy. They are coming 3 year olds. She repeated the breeding last year and has another colt and filly matched pair. If you are interested in them, please contact me and I will give you more information and photos. The horses are located in Northern California and are offered at a more than reasonable price. Tommy would like to sell them as pairs, so how about it pairs or 4 up drivers?
