It's been hot in Texas for the past couple of weeks and that's when
a tire is bound to blow. That's also the worst imaginable time to
be out in the sun changing a tire. Yep, that was a real adventure.
Tomorrow I'll be at a tire shop in Marble Falls having four new
tires put on the band van. That's the down side of buying used cars
and paying cash. Some months you still have a car payment. :) The
up side is that you don't have a car payment every month.

The produce department of our favorite supermarket seems very
nearly overstocked with all sorts of fresh fruit this year and
I've been buying whatever was on sale, cutting it into small cubes,
and freezing it. I put a cup of Almond milk, a tablespoon (or two)
of Stevia sweetener in the blender and then add chunks of frozen
fruit until it takes on the consistency of a thick milkshake.
I think that's called a 'smoothie' but whatever you chose to call
it, I sure do love it and I think it has a lot less calories
than ice cream. Yes, I'm trying to count calories. Every time I
see my doctor she frowns at me when she sees my weight. I think
I'd be perfectly content to be a fat old fuddy-duddy but I love
my doctor (she reminds me of my youngest daughter) and I really
hate to disappoint her. :(
