[dokuwiki] refcheck broken?

Hi *!
I just tried to use the refcheck feature which should warn you when you
attempt to delete a mediafile which is referenced in a document. However
it did not work in my quick test!?
It still uses a regexp search on the whole document tree and is
painfully slow anyway. Matthias did implement it, but I wonder if anyone
really uses it besides him?
It may be broken because of somthing I did during my current work on the
media manager so it would be nice if anyone could test this with the
old manager.
