Hi all,

I will not leading a war OpenOffice against latex. In my opinion, it to could be very interesting to have a good odt import/export facility. Specially if you have a wiki knowledge base witch contain best practices or procedures :
- you can go on site with your exported procedures,
- follow, modify and improve these procedures,
- and import it with changes and comments.

Anyways, we're agree latex provide better text layout. But the main problem is images layout, it's still makeshift. Putting to images side by side in latex is not easy as the web way, it should be easier directly in PDF.

I am still developing the plugin further, it will involve in a more close Doku_Renderer class and a better configuration system. I am not aware of remaining bugs, but you know the sentence : "No bugs, no users". ;) So if you have noticed some, please report it on the web page.

By the way, I have never used BibTeX, so I don't know how to add this feature.

Latex (tex that is) algorithms to calculate page layout are superior

I love what you achieved with dokutextit so far, and I see lots of
improvements and opportunities in this area, and I would rather see
one good latex/wiki implementation then two avarage latex/wiki and
wiki/odt approaches.

Of course, you do this for fun and I dont pay you, so just take this
as my humble opinion, you are free to do ... you know.
I can fully acknowledge Jan here. (La)TeX has very good layout algorithms and I do like DokuTeXit very much. It has it's limitations, but I try to help where I can. A Word Processing Programm like OpenOffice brings different Layouts on different Platforms and versions. I think DokuTeXit is the best approach to produce pdf files. Perhaps we can find some people willing to contribute to the plugin and solve the remaining bugs? Danjer, would you help developing the plugin further?

Florian
