[dokuwiki] email link on an image

I'am using release 2006-03-09e. I try to get a mailto link on an image
and find it impossible using wiki syntax
[[me@xxxxxxxxxx|{{:namespace:button-mail.png|send me an email}}]]
I get the following reply in preview :
Warning: htmlspecialchars() expects parameter 1 to be string, array
given in /home.10.2/rwils/www/inc/parser/xhtml.php on line 979
This works fine :
[[me@xxxxxxxxxx|send me an email]]
It is still possible with <html> but it can't be incorporated inline in
a paragraph due to <p> tag.
