[dokuwiki] conversion of some wiki code to html in a template

Hi.
I have another question re: template development.
If the sidebar portion of my template is going to generate wiki code, I
wonder if there is any way that I can pass an array of wiki lines to
some DokuWiki function that will convert it to html, or if my only
resort is to write the output to a temporary file, and then call
p_wiki_xhtml on the result?
