[dokuwiki] automated searching for a page?

Hi,
I'm wondering if there's a way to have dokuwiki search in other
namespaces for a page if it's not found in the current / specified
namespace.

In my specific case, it has to do with courseware.

For instance, in namespace :teaching, I have 2 other namespaces,
:teaching:courseA and :teaching:courseB, one for each of 2 different
courses.

Pages common to both courses would go in the :teaching namespace;
pages specific to only one course would go in the namespace for that
course. In a page :teaching:courseA:pageA, I would like to link to,
say, commonpage1 - as [[commonpage1]]. That link points to
:teaching:courseA:commonpage1, yet the actual page is at
:teaching:commonpage1. So I'd like dokuwiki to notice there is no
commonpage1 in :teaching:courseA and search :teaching for it before
deciding the page doesn't exist.

Foswiki, for instance, has a variable that contains a list of 'webs'
(rather link dokuwiki namespaces) in which to search for pages before
giving up.

Is there anything equivalent in dokuwiki?

(I have tried to look in the forums/doc/plugins, but don't see
anything that would help.)
