[dokuwiki] Setting VERSION in Distribution Packages

Hey Matti and everybody else maintaining a Distribution package of
DokuWiki!
It would be nice if you could add a custom VERSION file to your Package.
It should be a plain textfile called VERSION in the main DokuWiki
directory. It should contain the distribution specific version string.
E.g. for the current Debian package something like this would be cool:
Debian-0.0.20050713-2
This makes answering support requests regarding those packages somewhat
simpler :-)
