[dokuwiki] POST Array

Good Afternoon,
I am writing because I have a problem using the php's array post. Two
years ago I did a dokuwiki template in which I used the $_POST["u"] to
see if an user is just logged in. In the new version of dokuwiki I can
not see the POST array. May anyone explain me why?
Or may anyone explain me how I can understand if an user is just logged in?
